In 1953 Juan, Jose, and Vincente Lladro founded the Lladro company in Almassera, Spain.  It was their mother, who had a passion for porcelain, who enrolled them at the Valencia School of Arts, as young boys.  In the beginning, they sold their wares at local markets.  However, the pieces attracted attention due to their precision and detail.
 
Nao figurines are hand-made in Spain by highly skilled Lladro artisans.  The Nao collection numbers almost 300 elegant life-inspired porcelain figurines created to illustrate the unforgettable moments of life.
 
"Listening to the Trills" depicts a young lady enjoying the company of a beautiful wild bird.  She measures 6" tall and is in pristine condition.
