I did the baking soda test, and some yellow color came off from the storage box, so these MAY be bakelite.  Included are a soft emery board, a comb, and three manicure devices, all of which fit inside the storage box.  Also included is a button puller which ladies would use to hook onto a button and pull it through the button loop.
